Experienced security executive Tammi Morton has been named the new Chief Security Officer at UnitedHealth Group.

Morton brings nearly 30 years of experience to the role of Chief Security Officer (CSO) at UnitedHealth Group (UHG). In this position, Morton will lead the Enterprise Workplace Security Program and its affiliates to ensure the protection of the company's global workforce and physical assets.

Prior to joining UHG, Morton was Vice President and Chief Security Officer at Raytheon Technologies for three years when she supported the United Technologies Corporation and Raytheon merger by aligning RTX Global Security functional support and standardization across the enterprise.

Over her 28-year career, Morton has held a variety of roles previously serving as Vice President, Chief Security Officer at United Technologies Corporation; Chief Security Officer, Head of Global Security at Hewlett Packard Inc.; Director of Global Security Operations, The Americas and Global Programs at HPQ/HPE; Regional Security Manager at Merck; and Director of Security at the Bill and Melinda Gates Estate; to name a few.

Morton has received multiple honors, including being selected as one of the 24 finalists for the WeQual Awards, the Americas, 2023, recognized in 2022 as WashingtonExec’s Top 15 CSOs to Watch and being featured in Security's Women in Security 2018 program.
